FITZROY SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
A meeting of the FiUroy School Committee was held last night, all the menihers being present. The headmaster reported the closing of the school on March 24 for disinfecting treatment, and he was pleased to state that owing to the good condition in which the rooms had been kept the work took only half the time anticipated. The ground had been made tidy and the ■hedges cut. He thanked the committee for their courtesy to himself and the staff during the past year, and expressed the hope that the same members would be elected on the Committee for the coming year. The report was adopted, the headmaster's good wishes being reciprocated. The Board's. Inspector reported that the attendance had been very good and punctuality excellent, 42 good attendance certificates having been gained in *1!) I"). The work seen or tested showed that the pupils were making satisfactory progress. Order, discipline and tone were good to excellent. The, average attendance was 149 out of a roll number of 156. Accounts amounting to £9 ISs 4d were passed for payment.
