RIFLE SHOOTING.
NEW PLYMOUTH DEFEATS INGLEWOOD. At the Rewa Rewa rifle range yesterday a. team from Ingiewood fired a match against the local defence chib, ■the latter winning, on the aggre<?.'itc by 17 points. The conditions were 10 shot* at the SOO and 000 yards ranges and considering *,hat the smoke, made the 'light hazy, some good shooting resulted. At 800 yards Rifleman W. Oliver scored one less the possible. Rflm. Drew (New Plymouth), and Pres G. H. Taylor (Inglewood; topped the list with SO points. On the long range Inglewood gained seven points, but were 24 in arrears at the shorter range. Detailed scores:—
