Crowds made a demonstration in the streets and squares denouncing the war and the Young Turks. The German police attacked the demonstrators. The German garrison is reported to be guarding the palace and ministerial offices. German subsidised papers seeks to minimise the Erzero.um disaster. It is alleged that troops refused to proceed to Armenia. Disorders are also reported from Smyrna and Beirut. Amsterdam, Feb. 20. Turkish communiques continue to announce that nothing important lias happened in the Caucasus. , .
