WORTH OVER A MILLION.

TARANAKI PRODUCE EXPORTS. n.ESTJLT OF HIGH PRICES SOME INTERESTING ITOTTR.ES. The exports of butter and cheese irom Taranaki will exceed over a million pounds in value when the quantities now on hand have left the Dominion. There has been a. difficulty lately in securing sufficient space on Homo liners to take all the produce offering in Taranaki, and some of the returns emploved to bring the total beyond the £1,000,000 mark represent shipments arranged, but which will not leave the Dominion until within the next week or two. When these shipments have gone the exports can be |approximately valued at C 1.103,090 ]os. The high figures are due to the splendid : prices being realised on the Home market. The ninth shipment from New. Plvmouth for the season will be made to-day, when the Corinna will take 8000 crates of cheese for transhipment to the Corinlhic and 10,000 boxes of butler for the Limerick. The butter awaiting shipment amounted to 10,0!)S bo.vcs. hut space was only available for 10,000 boxes. This brings the total amount of butter sent from New Plymouth to 01,237 boxes and the cheese to 47,007 crates, of an approximate value of £545,134 10s. Including the shipments arranged for the Nerehana and Ruahine. Patea's total? are brought to 32,274 boxes of butter and 03,110 crates of cheese, of an approximate value of £554,065.
