BRITISH SUBMARINES. BUSY IN SEA OF MARMORA. Athens, Dec. 22. A British submarine sunk the German steamer Leros and other craft in the Sea of Marmora. SHIPPING COMPANY'S TRIALS. Received Dec. 23, SM p.m. London, Dec. 23. Mr. Frederick Green, presiding at the Orient Company's meeting, said that the year had been one of difficulty, owing to the number of steamers taken by the Admiralty for armed cruisers. The outlook for shipowners was not bright, and it was difficult to forecast.

JAPANESE LINER SUNK. Received Dec. 24, 1.25 a.m. _ -Port Said, Dec. 23. The Japanese liner Yasak Maru has been sunk. AQ on board were saved.
