A CHRISTMAS BOX. RELEASE OF REBELS. Johannesburg, Dec. 22. The release of the imprisoned rebels followed the payment of fines and the signature of a pledge to abstain from political agitation. Rebels are gratified and regard the release as practically a Christmas box. DUTCH COMMENT. Amsterdm, Dec. 22. Newspapers comment on the magnanimity towards De Wet, and contrast it with the German method, under whl((h a bullet would probably have been his fate.
