THT? COMING ET.EfTTOW. As indicated in yesterday'n News, Cr. C. H. Burgess has agreed to allow himself to be nominated for the Mayoralty. Tliis places him and ox-Cr. S. J. Smith before the public, and there are indications that there will bo no other nominees. Two or three prominent citizens .who proposed to come forward have definitely decided to remain out of the contest in view of (>. Bnrgess' decision. In regard to the vacancy on the Council, the supporters of cx-Cr. K. .). Kibby have moved in the direction of getting him to stand ,and a deputation will wait on Mr. KlbW at the Council Chambers this morning.
