CO-ORDINATION OF PATRIOTIC COMMITTEES. ' By Telegraph.—PTess Association. Dunedin, Last Night. At a meeting of the Patriotic Association, a letter was received from the Southland Patriotic Committee suggesting the co-ordination of all patriotic committees, and the sending of all gifts for soldiei'g to the Defence authorities for indiscriminate issue, thus insuring that all the men would be treated alike. Mr Speight said he had sent a number of boxes to the front, but had been told it was almost impossible for the men to receive them. He had also been told tiiat TOO tons of gifts were in store and could not be handled. Father Coffey said he had been informed by Mrs. O'Neill that she had sent two parcels a week to her husband, Dr. O'Neilj, since he left the Dominion, but lie had not received any. The ladies' committee was authorised to draw on the Association to the extent of £ 100 if it, was thought ne'ccssary to supplement the gifts sent.
