CLYDESDALE HORSE SOCIETY.
A meeting of tile Council of tile Clydesdale Horse Society was held m tile registered oflice, Dunedin, on the evening of Wednesday October 6th. Present: Mr. Wei. Gardner, president, Messrs. Thomson, McCalum, Logan, Wyllie, Charters, Shearer, Blair, Muir and Johnstone. Apologies were intimated from Messrs. h. E. Hamilton, A. E. Harding and A. Hunter. New members were elected as follows: Messrs. W. Bell, Flaxmcre, Blenheim; D. Caythorpe, Blenheim; Ernest Hall, Brookside; Phil Ward, Patangata, Ilawke's Bay; Courtenay S. Holt, Whangarei; George Shaw, Te Ure Ure, Masterton; Joseph J. Cross, Tuapeka Mouth; Donald Chamberlain, Manaia, Taranaki. An application from the Owaka A. and P. Society for a special prize at their forthcoming show was left with the secictary to deal with. Accounts amounting to £sl 5s were passed for payment. Mr. Thomson intimated that he liad secured offers of two £ls 15s cups for competition at 1915-10 summer shows, these trophies were accepted with thanks. Th next meeting of the Council was appointed to be held in Christchurch during the run of the A. and <P, Show there in November.
