Three new Churches had been opened during the year, at Smithfield (Wanganui),'Mt. iilbcrt (Auckland), and Island Bay (Wellington). Several of the Churches had formed Young. People's Societies, and the growth of that work generally has been the most hopeful feature of the year. Home Mission extension work had been carried on in the Wbangarei district with success. The Manurewn Children's Home, a property representing an outlay ctf £!)000, had been opened during the year, free of debt. At present there were 47 children in the Home. The membership of Churches showed a slight decrease on last year's fixtures, owing to a revision of rolls. Members of tihe Churches and congregations had responded with intense loyalty to the call of the Empire.
