The special feature of the evening was the first appearance of the Okato Glee Club, who, under the baton of Mr. R. B. Barrett, acquitted themselves most ably, giving four items. Another feature was the two items given by the school children. These were especially acceptable, and reflected great ability and credit upon Miss Anld, who, in the short space of ten days, trained the children to such a point of efficiency. Songs were sung by Misses Auld and Aroa, Mesdames Booker and Street, Rev. Addenbrooke, Messrs Booker, Cole, Hawkins, and Manning. Recitations were given by Mrs. Vincent and Messrs Hawkins, Lacy, and Manning. The accompaniments were played by Mrs. J. S. Fox and Mr. Barrett.
