DAIRY FACTORY MEETING.
ROYAL .OAK, QMATA. The annual meeting of the suppliers of the Royal Oak cheese factor r, Omata, was held at the Omata Hall o'n Tuesday last, Mr. 6. Vickers presiding owr an attendance of 17 suppliers. The report of eleven months' working showed that the local payments to suppliers for the year were: September I9H Is l'/jd; October to Jiuly, 1915, Is 4y 2 d. It was stated that a new agreement had been made with Mr. Shrimpton for the manufacture of cheese and butter for the coming season. The statistics were as follow:—Milk received, 2,583,685 lb; butter-fat, 100,096.04 lb; cheese made, 254,804 lb; butter made, 269 V lb; milk to lb cf cheese, 9.0 lb; average test, 4.Q0; average grade, 85.97. The balance-sheet showed that the cheese sold realised £142 las 2d. Advances amounted to £6648, manufacturing £1122, freezing £77. The assets are set down at £S9S, and the liabilities at £25. The chairman briefly touched upon matters mentioned in the report and balance-sheet, which were both adopted. The following were elected as the management committee: Messrs Vickers, Adlam, Morris, Riordan and B. R. Bayly. Mr. J. S. S. Medley was appointed auditor.
