THE ZEPPELIN RAID. A GERMAN STATEMENT. Amsterdam, Sept. 9. A German communique states: Our naval airships last night attacked London, factories near Norwich, and harbor" works and iron works at Middlesborough. We observed heavy explosions and numerous fires. Hostile batteries fired heavily, but the airships returned safely. BOSSES BY THE RAID. 10G CASUALTIES. London, Sept. 9. Official: Twenty were killed, and there were 106 casualties in the air raid, including four soldiers. The killed in all the areas included twelve men, two women and six children; the seriously injured were eight men, four women and two children; the slightly wounded were thirty-eight men, twentythree women, and eleven children. Of 1 the four soldiers, one was killed. | THE RAID ON LONDON. GERMANS CLAIMED DOCKS WERE BOMBED. Received Sept. 11, 1.40 ajn. London, Sept. 10. A Berlin wireless claims that airships on Tuesday and Wednesday bombed London docks, with very satisfactory effect. A ZEPPELIN'S END. FATE OF THE CREW. Received Sept. 10, 10.20 p.m. Amsterdam, Sept. 10. Travellers narrate that a Zeppelin, on Wednesday, lost her propellor while over Brussels. She exploded and was entirely destroyed, the crew bein^Jcilled. WARRING WITH KID GLOVES. REPRISALS FOR ZEPPELIN RAIDS DEMANDED. Received Sept. 11, 1.25 a.m. London, Sept. 10. The Daily Graphic demands reprisals for the Zeppelin raids, and say we are engaging in a war with kid gloves. Germany has declared war on our women and children, and it is time we attacked their open towns. When these supercducated savages discover that they have to pay in kind they will consider the advantages of reverting to the practice of civilised nations. The total casualties by Zeppelin raids in England has been 1063 (?) killed, and WO wounded. ZEPPELINS TO RIGA. Received Sejt, 11, 1.25 a.m. . , Stockholm, Sept. 10. Several Zeppelins were seen going southwards, but later they changed their course and went to the Riga Gulf. RAILWAY STATION BOMBED. Paris, Sept. 9. Official: French aeroplanes dropped fifty bombs on Challerange station.
