HAWERA CLUB. The first round of the senior and junior Championships of the Hawera Club have, with the exception of one senior match, been completed, and the second round will be played during the present week, to be completed before next Wednesday. Results were as follows: Seniors.—Blair beat Trewpck, O'Callaglian beat Welsh. Ryan beat Walker. Bayley beat Pratt, Sturroek beat Hunter, Pago beat Tonka, -Sutton beat Elliott, Turner v. Turtpfi still to be played..
Juniors.—Lemion beat Diid'il, Wylds boat Kimbell, Awdrv beat Williams. Wallace beat Mason' (default), Kurilrangi beat McCarthy, Dailey beat Suisted, Welsh beat rir. Thomson, A. M, Thomson beat Chisholm. Holder beat N. Caplen, Classon beat Salmon a bye. The second round was drawn as follows.—Lennon v. Wylds, Awdrv v. Holder, Welsh v. Glaseon. Byes; A. Thomson, Dailey, ICururangi, Wallace, Salmon. The name of the tenth hole has toon altered from "The Narrows" to ''The Turn." STRATFORD CLUB. On August 28 medal matches were played by the ladles for prlzus presented by Mesdames Budge and Abraham. The prize for the senior match was won by Mrs. Glasgow, and for the junior match by Mrs, Howard.
