WAREA. I A four aside draughts tournament took place at the Newall Road factory en Tuesday night between Warea and Newall Road teams, and resulted in a victory for Warea by the narrow margin of two games. For the winners, H. Corbett won three games and lost one, C. VV. Corbett won two and lost two, W. Lawn won two and lost two, R. Julian won one lost one, two drawn. Total, eight wins, two draws. For Newall Road 0. Julian won two, lost one and one drawn, W. Smith won two and lost W. Rumball won one and lost threo, J. Keogh won one, lost two, one drawn. Total, six wins ; two drawnA dance is being held on June 16th under the auspices of the hall committer in aid of the New Zealand wounded. The milk supply at the local cheese factory is now very low. The price of cheese is high.
