Mr. James Mackenzie (Undcr-Secre tary for Lands, New Zealand)— 1 imperial Service Order. ■Major Hunt (AVellington Battalion) Major O'Neill (Medical Corps) (Major Waite (Engineers), were each awarded the Distinguishes Service Order for gallantly al the Dardanelles. Other birthday honors were: Gilber Parker, baronetcy. Knights Bachelor Thomas Hughes, New South Wales, for merly Lord Mayor of Sydney; Peter (Mc Jiride. r, ?. on " Mon . Bell (Minister o: wide; Mr. Freyer, superintendent ol fisheries, who participated in the intro (taction of trout into New Zealand. Twelve Australians and New Zealandera at tho Dardanelles were awarded Dietmguished Sfervice Orders. Ten military crosses and thirty-three distinguished conduct medals were also awarded.
