The French division which, took Caroney, Ablain, St. Na/.air, the Malon mill, and Souchez sugar refinery, made three thousand one hundred prisoners, buried two thousand six hundred German dead, and lost iu wounded, dead, and missing three thousand two hundred, two-thirds being slightly wounded. At Champagne, near Beausejour, the enemy; tried a night attack, biit were immediately thrown back into their trenches.
