THE AMOKURA'S CRUISE.
AMONG THE SOUTHERN JSLANDS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The training ship Amokura arrived at Port Chalmers this morning from her periodical cruise to the Southern Islands. Catain Hooper reports that he found the depots intaet and no sign of any castaways. The depots had been visited by men from the steamer (Jrantala when in search of the. Commonwealth trawler Endeavor, which was lost on her way to the Macquarries. At Campbell Islands residents were quite well. . They complained of the lateness of summer. Shearing was not completed when the Amokura left there last Friday. During the cruise moderate weather was exI perieneed. i
