THE lIAWERA CLUB. At the annua! meeting of the llawera Club, the. election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. Halliwcll; vicepresidents, Messrs. G. V. Penrec, M.P., Br. Thomson, F>. C. Murch, BrundeH Gomer, Bretherton and Young; auditor, Mr. 11. S. Elliott; delegate to union, Mr. J. 11. McDowell; selection committee, captain, vice-captain and Mr. O. Gomer. The secretary proposed that the names of the players who have gone to the front should be recorded in the club's books, as an appreciation of their good work and help. The club had lost seven or eight members, and consequently was not now as strong as in previous years. The annual subscription was fixed at as per member, and for members 17 years old or under, 2s (id. . The entrance of two teams for this season's cup fixtures was left over until a report was submitted by the selection committee. The A team last season won the southern division, and in 'the play-off drew with Kaponga for the final. It was decided that Kaponga, and Hawcra A should hold the shield for six months each. • ,
