ENGAGEMENT WITH THE TURKS. BRITISH-INDIAN MORCE PACES* MURDEROUS FIRE. TURKS VIGOROUSLY RETIRING. Received April 18, 3.30 p.m. ) ' London, April 17. The Press Bureau reports that the British and Indian forces drove the Turks from an advanced post four miles south of S'haiba. Tlicyi attacked the main line near a wood where the trenches *vcre well concealed. Strengthened by six guns and many machine-guns, the enemy resisted with the utmost determination. The attack was driyen home pluckily, the whole line charging in the .face of heavy rifle and machine-gun fire. The Turks retired nineteen miles to Niakahalah,
