INVASION OF EESSARABIA. (AUSTRIAN COLLAPSE. Bucharest, April 11. The attempted invasion of Bessarabia, by which on March 31 the Russians were said to have been driven back with heavy losses, was disastrous to the Austrians, who, famished and utterly demoralised, fell back in great disorder. Large Russian masses advanced along the 'banks of the Pruth towards Boian so quickly that the Austrians were unable, to organise a defence and wreaked their vengeance on the people of Bukovina, whose plight is appalling. Many have been taken prisoners and executed on the slightest pretext.
