Against the Turks.
TURKISH GUNBOATS SUNK. MIXES IN TIIE BOSPIIORUS. London, April 8. Petrograil states that mine-laying operations in the Bosphorus resulted in seven Turkish gunboats being sunk and two cruisers seriously damaged. SULTAN'S ADJURATION OF GERMANY. DARDANELLES IMPREGNABLE. New York, April 8. The Sultan gave an audience to a party of American journalists. He said: "I am convinced that the Dardanelles cannot be forced. It is very unjust that the Allies should want to force the Dardanelles, just to import Russian foodstuffs. Tt is impossible to express my high opinion of German valor and efficiency."
