A REJUVENATED ARMY.

A NEW REGIME IN FRANCE,

A FINE CAMARADERIE.

(Times and Sydney Sun Services.) Received April 7, 5.5 p.m. London, April 7. A Paris message says that France has a new and young army. The higher command has been rejuvenated by generals ten years younger than their predecessors,' General Joffre believing in new blood and insisting on a higher standard of activity. The "Tommies" were amazed to see French officers and non-commis-sioned officers sitting at the same'table, a captain and a corporal bending over chessboards in the trenches, a strange blend of camaraderie and sternness. Bui the moment there is duly ahead the iron shutter falls, and unrelenting discipline is enforced.
