> T EW PLYMOUTH CLUB. A progressive tournament was held at tlic Vivian Street lawns on Saturday last. Tlie prizes were donated by Mrs. Wliettol. During the afternoon Mrs. Courtney, on behalf of tlie club, presented Mrs. Fitzhcrbert with a parting gift, and expressed general regret at the loss the club would sustain at her departure, as in all matches with outside clubs Mrs. Fitzherhert had proved a tower of strength. Mrs. Fitzhcrbert saiil some of tlic happiest days of her life, had been spent at tlie lawns, and. though sin' had had some ignominious defeats, she bad had some glorious victories! Following arc the scores. Owing to the lateness of the start, a few players were unable to complete their three turns:—
