Final: IT. Martis (Wellington)-], E. 13. Batstone (Canterbury) 2. F. M. Perkins (Otago) 3. This was one of the best races of the day. Martis got ahead, but Batstone kept on bis hods, and the champion had to extend to his best to win. He got home just a yard ahead. Martis equalled the standard time of 22 4-Osecs.

Turner (Canterbury), O. C. Travers (Auckland), W. Brown (Southland) and W. Druinmond (Wellington). Beatson kept it beautiful even pace, and won comfortably bv -10 yards. Time, 15min. 4 l-ssec's.

Martis went into the lead, but cracked up half way round. Wilton then won comfortably by a yard and a half. Time, 53sccs. POLE JUMP.—G. Harvey (Wellington), 10ft. 3in., 1; J. W. Batstone (Canterbury), 10ft. lin., 2. Also competed: F. Hazlett (Southland) and C. Laurie (Auckland).
