PANAMA EXHIBITION.

NEW ZEALAND PAVILION OPENED*. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. San Francisco, March 4. Mr Edmund Clifton ; New Zealand Resident Commissioner, was welcomed by a huge gathering at the formal dedication of the New Zealand pavilion. Pile Maoris assisted ill the welcome by a Native dance. The Mayor, Mr Rolpli, on behalf of San Francisco, presented a bronze plaquo to Mr Clifton as a memento of tho occasion.

Mr Alfred Deakin spoke of the hearty spirit of co-operation existing between' the Antipodes and the United States, and hoped that the opening of the Canal •would cement the friendship further.
