HEALTH OF MAORI CONTINGENT. Auckland, February 10. The Maori youth, named Roera, who died in hospital o n Monday was not a member of the Maori contingent in camp here, as incorrectly reported in the morning papers, but a, schoolboy from the Three Kings, living at Orakei. Since the Maori camp began the general health has been remarkably good. Some three or four cases of typhoid occurred, but none with serious.consequences. All the men in camp have been inoculated and every precaution is taken against infectious disease, particularly with new arrivals from country districts.
THE THIRD REINFORCEMENTS. Wellington, February 10. The third reinforcements from the Trentlmm camp and the Maori contingent will be paraded in Newton Park on Saturday.
LADY LIVERPOOL'S APPEAL. Wellington, February 10. Lady Livoipool, in a letter of thanks to subscribers to the half-crown collection for oilskins for the men on the New Zealand, acknowledges the sum of £3ofl 10s 5d from-' all parts of the Dominion.
LORD NORTHLAND'S DEATH. Wellington, February 10. On behalf of New Zealand the Governor sent a ii'c.-sage of condolenr: to Lard Eanfuvly cr. the death of bis sou, Lord Northland, and has received the following reply: "We thank New Zealand for its kind telegram. We arc proud that our only so n gave his life for his country.—-(.Signed) Ranfurly."
