WAITARA WEST ROAD BOARD.

MONTHLY MEETING. The members present at the usual monthly meeting of the Waitara West Eood Board were: Messrs. Hall, Lepper, and Turnbull. Mr T. French wrote; resigning his position of Chairman to ciie Board, and it was resolved that his resignation be accepted with regret. Mr Lepper was elected chairman for the remainder of the term. ' Correspondence was read from Waitara Borough Council forwarding subsidy to Tate Road, from November, 1913, to March .'Hist, 1914, from same, notifying that their road-grader was for sale, and form the Minister of Internal Acairs forwarding copies of Acts. It was resolved that full particulars be obtained of a small road-grader, and that the chairman and one other member be empowered to piticure one, if they consider it advisable. It was left in Mr Turnbull's hands to arrange re procuring metal for the repairs to Ackworth Boad. The metalling of the hill on Manut'ahi East Road, was left over, Mr Crof--1 sky to be requested to proceed with the necessary formation, the surfacemen to assist. The Board decided that the surfacemen should receive three full days' pay during the Christinas holidays each year. Accounts amounting to '£l2s were passed for payment, and the Board; adjourned.
