After occupying the position of chairman of the Wellington College Board of (Governors for a number of years, Mr A. do R. Brandon has resigned. In the letter tendering his resignation, Mr Brandon says that the effect of the Education Act, 1014, is t'o transform the Board of Governors into a mere creature of tlie Minister, /rjie Board accepted the resignation with regret, aitd elected Mr J. G. W. Aitken to the chairmanship.
