STUDENTS' CONFERENCE.

MEETING AT WAIMATE. Waimate, December 31. The Students' Summer Conference at Waimate got. into stride on Wednesday. During the morning session an address was given by the Rev. A. E. Hunt, of Wellington, on "The student movement of international ideals." In the afternoon a public reception was given by the Mayor. Waimate has treated the conference with great hospitality, most of the public buildings, baths, etc., being placed at the disposal of the conference. The evening ses sion was largely occupied by an address on the '•'Reasonableness of Christianity," by the Rev J. Paterson, M.A.
