TARANAKI CHRISTMAS .MEETING. A final reminder to give to racehorse owners and trainers that acceptances for all first day's handicaps at the Taranaki Jockey Club's Christmas meeting close to-night, at 0 o'clock. At the same time J entries will be received for the Huatoki I Plate, Tikorangi Scurry Stakes, and Warea Scurry Stakes. Particulars will be found in our advertising columns. Down-the-line owners would do well to get their wires ill early, as the Telegraph Department is exceptionally busy at present handling election results, and delay in transmission may cause their acceptances or entries to arrive too late to be included. Several Taranaki sportsmen have been disappointed in this way 1 recently, and they should not be caught napping again.
