Rev. Osborne referred to the benefits that would accrue to cricket if the Daylight Saving Bill came into force. He thought that the matter should be brought before the New Zealand Cricket Council, and gave notice to move that the matter should be discussed at next meeting.

The question of a coacli was brought forward, but while recognising the need for a coach, members were of opinion that it was better to secure a good wicket first.

Ihe oftplmzard maimer of arranging for un-.p-.res was discussed, and it was decided to ask the. clubs to forward the names cf suitable men willing to act as umpires, so that the match committees may arrangt beforehand for umpires for matches It was said that this might imumnely develop into the (urination o. an uur.nreV, association.
