A CRITICAL SITUATION. AUSTRIANS OCCUPY BELGRADE. DASTARDLY ATROCITIES. London, December 2. Reuter's Sofia correspondent reports that the situation in Servia is critical. It is believed tliat the Servian army has withdrawn from Belgrade. Nish, December 2. A communique states that there was sanguinary fighting at Sonovodor on Saturday. The enemy developed the attack, and his forces occupied two important positions. We have withdrawn ijroiii Oujitze. Vienna, December 2. Official. —The Austrians have occupied Belgrade. London, December 2. Impartial investigators report in connection with Austrian atrocities in Serr via that 114S civilians were mutilated or murdered in different villages. One hundred and nine hostages, aged from eight to eighty, were taken at Lcchnitza, placed on the edge of a trench, fastened together at the elbows and shot. The soldiers immediately filled the trenches, without bothering to ascertain whether their, victims were dead. Other hostages were compelled to witness the butchery.
