TEACHER'S BESJDESCE BURNED. Hastings, November 28. An eight-roomed building at Bridge Pah, near Hastings,, owned and occupied by tihe Qiiiori Agricultural College Trustees as a teacher's residence, was totally destroyed by fi-re last night. Very little furniture was saved. Tlie insurances are not available.

STATION HOMESTEAD DESTROYED Dimedi'n, November 28. The valuable \'homcstead at Moeraki Station, of tlwelve rooms, was destroyed by fire at 4.30 shs morning. It was owned by tlic New Zealand and Australian Land Company. Mr. W. D. M'Kellar, the manager, had about £IOO worth of furniture saved. The insurances are not ascertainable. The loss will be very heavy. The servants lost everything, one escaping l in her night; clothes.
