WEBSTER BROS. REPORT. At the mart on Saturday our pons were taxed to their utmost with birds of all classes. Prices were well maintained and we would advise anyone having poultry to dispose of to do so before the end of this month. Prices are as under:—Hens, young la Kid to 2s 7d; fat 2s (Id to lis 2d; cockerels, young, Is to 2s Id; fat, 2s (id to 3s; hens, laying, White Leghorns, 2s M to 2s i)d; ducks 2s to 2s fid; drakes, 2s Gd; ducklings, young 7d to Is; forward Is Id to Is fid; hen and chickens, 5s Od to Gs; turkey hens, 4s to Cs Gd; gobblers, fls to fl's 3d. During the week small quantities of fruit have come forward from Nelson and TTawke's Bay. Prices are still firm and likely to be so for some time j'ot. Prices as under according to quality and size of eases: American Jonathans, lfis to 17s c/s: lemons, very short supply, Is 3d doz; tomatoes, first grade.
