On Wednesday the Hawera links' were officially closed down. In the' morning competitions were held by the ) ladies:—Prizes wore won by the fol-j lowing:—Flag competition, 'Miss Bur-1 gess; consolation, Miss Young; driving. Miss Burgess; ..putting (Mrs Kimbell's trophy), Miss Caploie; approaching and putting {Mm McLean's trophy), MissCVpleil. The competitions provided! some very close finishes and were very successfully carried out in charge of Mrs Kimbell and her committee.
