At tlie meeting held on Julv f) last,' Mr Hates, of the Hawora Club, gave: notice of motion that the Tarsvniiki Centre adopt the open door policy. As Air Bates was unable to attend' the meeting, Mr Parkinson moved the! motion, ami Mr A. K. Smart seconded. I Considerable discussion took place on the matter, delegates not being at all ' unanimous on the i|Uostion. A ballot I was taken which resulted in the success j of the motion, the voting being U for ! and four against. j It was resolved that prizes for the ' tournament be of the same yalfte us lust ' year, j A.tournament of the winners of the : champion singles of each club affiliated • to the Centre, will be' held m the last I week of March next.
