The Daily Telegraph gays:—Turkey may declare war at any moment, it will only be a matter of a few days, possibly of a few hours. All efforts of the Triple Entente to maintain Turkey's neutrality have failed. The British Embassy at Constantinople admits that the situation is grave. The military party, which is dominant in Constantinople, hag reached the conclusion that the present is the best time to secure the restoration of Macedonia and the Aegean Islands. Turkey counts on the Balkan States quarrelling amongst themselves while Turkey fight 3 Greece. Turkey's declaration of war j against Greece will be regarded as liostile by the Entente, which will send a fleet to dispose of the Turkish and Ger- | man ships.

According to the Telegraph, the British Government has warned Turkey plainly that by starting a campaign at this time she signs her owu death-war-rant.

THE PANTHER REVIVED.

A cablegram has been despatched to the Grand Vizier at Constantinople that Australian Moslems consider loyalty to Britain their first duty, and trust that the friendly relations between England and Turkey will continue.

A RUMOR DENIED. New York, August 31. The Turkish Embassy discredited the idea that it is possible for Germany to stir up Mahommedan feeling against Britain during the struggle.
