Wellington, Last Night. ■ " Wellington Slaughtermen's Union . an application for a dispute '<■■• the Conciliation Commands are. that the : exceed 44 hours, us to as follows: per week, assistant per week, slaughtermen employed, casually £1 per day. Rates are included for piecework when such is mutually agreed upon. It is asked that overtime shall he at the rate of time and a-half, with double rates for Sundays and holidays. It is asked that not more than one assistant slaughterman shall be employed to every ten slaughtermen. Preference to the members of the Wellington Slaughtermen's Union i s sought.
