Rex, the Appeal Court was unanimously of opinion that the verdict of the jury should be upheld. Since the beginning of tho present year, "204,340 ounces of gold have been exported from the Dominion, the value being £809,247, as compared with 210-, 385 ounces, valued at £820,G14 in the corresponding period of last year. The export of silver for the first seven mouths of this year has amounted to 40D,020 ounces, valued at £42,897, or 106,1)1!) ounces, valued at £20,801, less than in the same period last year.
