NEW SOUTH WALES BIRTH-RATE. By CaJble—Press Association.— t Sydney, August 4. The birth-rate of New South Wales for July was 1"> per cent, above the average of the previous five .years. SALE OF DRAUGHT HORSES. Sydney, August 4. At the sale of draught horses following the annual parade prices were very low. The New Zealand-bred stallion Native Chief brought the top price, 310 guineas. Lots on behalf of John Grant and Mitchell and O'Brien, New Zealand, ranged from 32 to 160 guineas.
