RIFLE SHOOTING.
THE OPUNAKE (XUB. (in Wednesday at Opnnakc the last of tlie series of competitions for the Rifle Club's handicap trophy was fired. J. F. Shepherd won with 400 points, an average of 01.4 per shoot out of a possible 70, and M. Brophy came next with 450,. averaging 56% per shoot. The winner's score was all off the rifle. The scores in the final shoot were:—
3; Adult .School heat Corinthians by 2 to nil; Everton heat Carlton by fl to 3 The Brotherhood, team is now only one point behind Thistle in the championship list.
