More than 500 suffragists marched to the White House and demanded from President Wilson a definite statement of the position regarding women's suffrage.
FURTHER DAMAGE.
London, June 30.
The suffragettes flooded the swell of the organ at the Albert Hall, and caused damage to the extent of £2OOO.
Many police precautions are being taken at Henley to prevent the burning of boats.
A series of mysterious fires occurred in the Old Kent road, including sct- < ial shops. The damage is £IOO,OOO. As the fires followed a series of fires m Peckham incendiarism is suspected.
The owners of three houses burned by suffragettes in County Antrim have been awarded £9700 compensation, to be levied on the rates.
