Servia has achieved a great diplomatic triumph at the expense of Austria, having signed a Concordat with the Vatican establishing an archbishopric at Belgrade, with jurisdiction over the Roman Catholics within the old frontiers, and a bishopric at Uskub, whose jurisdiction will extend over the new territories ceded to Servia under the peace treaty. The Austrian religious protectorate ovet Catholics is thus abolished, excepting over the edifices buiK !>y Austria, and many in North Albania, including the Albanian districts allotted to Servia by I treaty.
