BIBLE-IN-SCHOOLS.
PLEA FOR REFERENDUM. Per Press Association. Dnnedin, Last Night. At a meeting of the Anglican Synod to-day, the following resolution was carried unanimously:—"This 'Synod, representing MO Church of England congregations in Otago and Southland, urges the Government to afford the people of an opportunity of deciding by referendum at the next general election whether Bible and religious teaching shall or shall not be introduced into the public schools.
