Tho favorable reception accorded by British investors to loan proposals'-from tihe overseas dominions impressed the Premier of Queensland (Mr D. P. Denham) during his stay in London. Sonn remarks on the subject were made by him when interviewed on the Niagara. The principal object of his visit to London was to arrange for the conversion of loan moneys maturing next year, and to secure a Joan for current public works. Various loans raised (by Queensland some 40 years ago, will malture next year, the total amount being £16,000,000. Satisfactory arrangements were made by the Sitato Premier for the conversion of this into stock. A new loan of £2,000,000 wag subscribed fourWld in) an hour and a half.
