WANGANUI SESSIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wanganui, Monday. The Supreme Court opened to-day, before Mr. justice Edwards, who referred to the leagthy list of cases and the seriousness of the alleged offences. The Grand Jury returned true bills against Wm. Chapman, for alleged false pretences, and John McGregor, for an alleged indecent assault. ' • Wanganui, Last Night. ; Myrtle Stringer, charged with an of- | fence against the Registration of Births Aet, was ordered to coma up for sentence when called upon. William Chapma.n was acquitted om a charge of false pretences.
AUCKLAND SESSIONS!. Auckland, Last Night. At tlie Supreme Court, Harold Spencer Caulk in appearing on ten charges of theft, and on a further charge of escaping from lawful custody, was sentenced to tii months' hard labor. Thomas Henry Sparrow, of Te Awamutu, committed for sentence on a charge of breaking, entering and theft at Ohaupo, was sentenced to six months' imprison-
