The American Trade Commissioners consider New Zealand mostly fitted as a tourist resort on account of the magnificent scenery. The high price of land will be a stumbling block to an active immigration policy. In commercial activity the factories of the Sunshine Harvester Company, Australia, and tne Gear Company, Wellington, were a revelation.
Regarding the American Beef Trust the commissioners were of opinion thut the higher the price for meat the better for Australasia as producers. The man who invented the refrigerator was the greatest benefactor they ever had.
