THE'YORKSHIRE MINERS. Received.!), f1.40 p.m. • London, April 9. The Yorkshire strikers desire to return to work. They believe the masters are delaying settlement m the hope of exhausting the Miners' Association's funds, which are very low. The men demand a national stoppage.
JEWEL THIEVES CAPTURED. Received 9, 9.40 p.m. » Berlin, April 0. Howarth, the jewel thief, was arrested in a sensational fashion. He was entraining for Berlin carrying a bag containing stolen jewels valued at £"009. Later, seven!confederates were arrested. Tho gang carelessly left implements -behind on several occasions, and as all were purchased from one firm the poltfc traced the buyers. The gang carried out substantial coups in London, Nice and elsewhere.
