"A *oiiml mind in a sound body" was the ideal aimed lit by at famous educator of the seventeenth century. Evidently the Okato people ale aiming at tlie creation of the sound body. Funds are required for the levelling and beautifying of the local recreation ground, the Okato domain. With this end in view a businesslike committee has been actively at work preparing a programme for Easter Monday. The programme includes tug-of-war competitions, and a seven-a-side, lootball tournament, the competitors being local men and teams from surrounding townships. A prize is offered for the winner in each of the three classes fcr floral decoration of vehicles, bicycles, etc., Light refreshments mayj>e obtained on the ground, and. judging by the enthusiasm shown by all, the picnic should prove a monster success.
